April 09 Update

I’m excited to say I’ve got some new material on the website in the music section for you to listen to and a new track which is featured on “Released 7” called “Jesus, lead us on”. Released 7 is a compilation produced by DB Studios and there are some really good tracks on there this year. If you would like a copy of Released 7, I am selling them for £10, every penny of which will be going to Worship Academy Romania, helping the WA team continue their important ministry of training worship leaders in Romania. Speaking of Romania, WA have kindly asked me to attend their Romania graduation in a couple of weeks. So I have the great privilege of spending a weekend with Chris Bowater and the guys in Romania WA Team. It’ll be an excellent chance to see WA working and how God is moving in the Romanian church. I’ll fill you in on what is happening there next month when I return.

My church is going through an amazing journey at the minute. We’ve changed our focus from Maintenance to Mission and God has blessed us powerfully. As s a result our church seems more alive than I can remember and new faces are regularly appearing in our Sunday mornings. God has also provided us a Mission
Enabler (my good friend Mark), who is working voluntarily for the church. His first main task has been to arrange a community week in August called Freedom 09. During this week we will working in our community for the whole week, litter picking, painting, giving things away, providing a kids club, just letting them know we are there really. There’s loads going on and on the Saturday there is a community fun day (Bouncy Castle, Face Painting, Music and Ice Cream) where everyone is invited to come for free and just have a good time. Check out the website for more details of exactly what’s going on and when (www.freedom09.org). It’s very exciting, but very scary as we step out in faith so please pray for the week if you can.

Finally, as a thank you for all your support there is a free song available for download in the music page of my website. It’s a song called “The Flame” all about reminding yourself of God when things are bad. A song that I hope is useful in these testing times. It’ll be available for a limited time only so please download it soon.
